Malvern Manor was originally a hotel in the early 1800s, but then served as a nursing home for the developmentally disabled. It was then shut down due to the high numbers of abuse against the residents there.
There are many reports of paranormal activity inside the walls of Malvern Manor. In the nursing wing, paranormal groups have reported hearing disembodied voices and seeing shadow figures at the end of the hall. One room in particular, Gracie’s Room, is said to be haunted by a female spirit and people have claimed to see a female apparition in the room. On the 2nd floor, there are still blood stains that are left from a brutal beating of a resident. They have also heard disembodied voices, coughing, seeing physical items move on their own, shadows, and hearing footsteps. Others have captured EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) of spirits breathing down their necks, whistling, and even sounds of scratching along the walls.

Tory Westhoff wrote a book on this location. Tory is a Paranormal Investigator and an author. She writes many books on different haunted locations. We physically have one of her books (We are Edinburgh Manor) and we will be using it on our Edinburgh Manor investigation. The book itself has the building history, a section of evidence captured by other paranormal groups, every death that has been documented in the building (alphabetical order), an Index, and a notes section while you’re investigating. These books are the most useful tool for any investigator, especially when attempting to communicate with a spirit that has passed at the location.
